Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on the occasion of India’s late President 84th birth anniversary in a ceremony announced Defence Research Development Organisation’s (DRDO’s) Missile Complex in Hyderabad Renamed as “The Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Missile Complex”.
The ceremony was held at the Research Centre Imarat (RCI). Dr Kalam was RCI’s Founder-Director and had steered it as a creator of critical missile technologies. It is considered to be the brainchild of Dr Kalam. It consists of RCI (Research Centre Imarat) ,Advanced Systems Laboratory (ASL) and Defence Research and Development Laboratory (DRDL).
