Rekha Menon as Chairperson of its India operations

The Global software giant and consultancy Accenture has appointed Rekha Menon as new chairperson for its India operations. Rekha Menon will succeed Avinash Vashistha who had resigned earlier in July 2015.

With this appointment, Rekha Menon became Accenture’s 1st woman head in India. As chairperson, Rekha will play an active role in the growing company’s business and strengthen its presence in communities across India.

Presently, Menon is the head of human resources for growth markets in the company and leading company’s HR strategy for Asia Pacific,Africa,Middle East,Turkey,Russia & Latin America. Accenture also has appointed Anindya Basu as the new managing director of company in India. In his new role he will be responsible for the driving company’s domestic business in India. Basu will also play active role in building company’s relationships with key clients by the leveraging its capabilities in consulting, strategy, digital technology and operations. Anindya Basu has 23 years experience in the Accenture.Earlier he had held many leadership roles in company across various domains such as Industrial Equipment, Automotive, Consumer Goods and Chemicals, Travel and Transportation.
