The Indian Air force celebrates its 83rd Air Force Day

On its 83rd foundation day, as Air Force Day Indian Air Force (IAF) celebrated at the Hindon Air Force Station in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.


Importance of Day: It was celebrated for first time in 1932 as an auxiliary air force of Indian Empire.This day is being celebrated to increase the awareness about the importance of IAF as an important part of the national security .


Celebrations:Parade was held at the Hindon Air Force Station along with The Induction ceremony. The Air Force Warrior drill team including women officers displayed rifle handling skills along with march past as part of the parade. Miscellaneous airplanes of the IAF were on display.


The reconstructed Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team was showcased for the first time. Also, planes like the MIG-21, MIG-29, Globemaster,  Sukhoi-30 MKI, Hercules and Mirage 2000 performed multiple maneuvers.
