APJ Abdul Kalam Amrut Yojna has been approved by Maharashtra Government

Maharashtra Government gives nod to APJ Abdul Kalam Amrut Yojna scheme has been approved by Maharashtra Government to provide full hot cooked nutritious food at one time to pregnant, lactating women in the tribal areas.


Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis approved this when chaired in state cabinet conference in Mumbai.


About APJ Abdul Kalam Amrut Yojna


Objective: Providing essential nutrition to pregnant women To Restrict malnutrition among tribal children for 6 months when the child’s growth is at its peak.


The scheme is a lead of Tribal Development department of state government.


Implementation: Women and Child Welfare Department’s Anganwadis in 16 districts of states having tribal population will implement it.
