Waitlisted passengers to get an alternative train accommodation through Vikalp scheme launched by Indian Railways.
This option will be limited to Mail and Express trains running on Delhi-Lucknow and Delhi-Jammu sectors for 6 months and this scheme is launched on the pilot basis.
The aim is of this scheme is to achieve two objectives
- Providing committed accommodation to waitlisted passengers.
- Ensure optimal exploitation of available accommodation for these passengers.
Vikalp scheme for waitlisted passengers has been launched by Indian Railways
