2015 Confucius Peace Prize by China goes to Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe

2015 Confucius Peace Prize by China has been awarded to Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe. The Prize is dubbed as Chinese complement of the Nobel Peace Prize.For his inspirational leadership and service to pan-Africanism and African independence he has been chosen. His commitments for constructing his nation’s political and economic order and his efforts to face difficult situations in his country has also been kept in mind while giving this Masterpiece.


About Robert Mugabe


  • He had ruled the country since it gained independence in 1980 from United Kingdom.

  • He was elected as Prime Minister in 1980 and served for 7 years as a Prime Minister. He was the 1st President of Zimbabwe and he still is the President of Zimbabwe.

  • He is  also the Chairman of African Union (AU).
