On 27 July 2015 The World Trade Organisation (WTO) approved the membership terms of Kazakhstan, thus enabling it to join world trade body as 162nd member.
In order to formally become the member of WTO, Kazakhstan Parliament now has to confirm the deal by 31 October 2015.
The Protocol on the Accession of Kazakhstan was signed between World Tarde Organisation Director General Roberto Azevêdo and President Nazarbayev Nursultan following the General Council’s approval of the country’s WTO terms of entry.
The negotiations on Kazakhstan’s membership were finalised by Working Party on 10 June 2015 and was adopted by the 52 Working Party members by consensus on 22 June 2015.
Kazakhstan became 162th member to join WTO
