India and Slovak Republic signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on technical co-operation in Railway Sector

The MoU signed between Union Ministry of Railways and Ministry of Transport, Construction and Regional Development of the Slovak Republic. The MoU signed by Ganga Ram Agarwal, Secretary, Railway Board and Ambassador of Slovak Republic to India Zigmund Bertok in New Delhi.
In the MoU potential co-operation areas mentioned are:


  • Infrastructure building, station development and management and workshop modernisation.

  • Information & communication technologies especially for passenger amenities.

  • Modernisation of rolling stock. Modernisation of Signaling & Telecom.

  • The MoU will be valid for a period of 2 years and after completion of valid term it will be automatically renewed for further successive period of 2 years at a time.
