The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and Mozambique in field of renewable energy has been approved by Union Cabinet .
This Decision was taken at Union Cabinet meeting chaired by the Indian Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi in Delhi,India. The MoU was signed between both countries in August, 2015,when President of Mozambique Filipe Nyusi was on official visit to India.
Key facts
Objective:To establish the basis for a cooperative institutional bond to encourage between both countries and strengthen bilateral cooperation.
- It also seeks to promote partnership in the field of new renewable energy issues and investment promotion .
- MoU will focus on development of new renewable energy technologies in the field of conducting on-the-job and specialized training courses.
