Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa have issued a Joint Declaration to ensure orderly and legal migration amongst member of BRICS nations and respect human rights. The declaration was issued at the first BRICS Ministerial conference on Migration held in Sochi, Russia in line with Ufa Declaration.
MoS( Minister of State) for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju had led the Indian commision to this meeting. It was also attended by representatives of Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) ,Shanghai Cooperation Council (SCO) and other International bodies on migration.
