Union Government has been appointed Ashwani Lohani as a Chairman and Managing Director of the Air India Ltd. His name was cleared by the Appointments Committee of Cabinet chaired by India’s PM Narendra Modi. He will have tenure of 3years and senior IAS officer Rohit Nandan whose extended Incumbency is ending on 21 August 2015.
About Ashwani Lohani
- Lohani is a 1980 batch officer of Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers.
- Now, he is working as Managing Director (MD) Tourism Development Corporation in Bhopal(M.P).
- Lohani passed mechanical engineer and is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. Lohani is also the founder member of Indian Steam Railway Society.
- He has authored two books namely Winning at work against all odd’s and a coffee table book Smoking Beauties in (2004).
Ashwani Lohani has appointed as a New CMD of Air India Ltd.
